When the day was over, I had 37252 words total. Yesterday, the total was 37775.

The problem is one of configuration control. Sometime on the 18th, which was last Saturday, I became somewhat suspicious that I was a but ahead of where I thought I had been, not all that many words ago. Well, bank error in your favor, best not be too investigative, and besides, there's no time for that. Just Write.

Today I figured it out, though. Turns out somehow that the 'day03' file (original content about 1314 words) had become a copy of the 'day18' file (the largest one to date with 4126 words in it). So I was counting day 18 twice and day 3 not at all. And I'm 2700ish words behind where I thought I was.

That said, Scrivener looks like a very cool writing program. It helped me discover the above bug, because the opening line of day03 was nothing like what should have been happening that early in the story.

Back to it. I have to find time for another 2700 words somewhere.
